Some videos need proper context. Some stand pretty well on their own. Bryson DeChambeau giving Tiger Woods a putting lesson? That’s something that every golf fan needs to see. DeChambeau teased the moment pretty well on his own with an Instagram post Wednesday afternoon. In the photo, DeChambeau looks on while Woods does, well, something with his shoulders and neck.
“Tiger and I were discussing neck movement and how it sets up your perceived equilibrium when putting,” DeChambeau wrote as the caption. “More in Stories for those interested.”
A tantalizing offer indeed. We headed to DeChambeau’s Instagram Story to obtain the below video. DeChambeau stands over his ball while Woods looks on. The discussion seems to be focusing on alignment, but we’ll let you decide for sure.
So many questions remain. Is Woods, who just put his old Scotty Cameron back in the bag, soliciting putting tips? Is he humoring DeChambeau, or taking careful notes? And, most importantly, is this a duo we’ll see talking putt reads and neck equilibrium next week in France?
The answers to those questions may come in time. For now, just enjoy.
