Never heard of Tiffany Joh? Well, you’re missing out.
The 28-year-old LPGA Tour player owns one of golf’s most vibrant personalities. Joh joined Sports Illustrated senior writer Alan Shipnuck on his new podcast “Backspin” and covered everything from YouTube stardom to her affinity for wearing onesies in public. Ever wondered how many LPGA players have hooked up with Twitter followers? Yeah, that’s in there too.
Joh also talks about her close relationship with Michelle Wie (who apparently eats more than anyone on the LPGA), gushes about her love of surfing and offers unfiltered opinions like this one:
“I met Lydia Ko when she was maybe 14. We we paired together at the New Zealand Open. I just remember looking at this little girl with glasses and thinking that she looks like she got lost on her way to primary school and wound up at a golf course.”
The two-time U.S. Women’s Public Links champion joined the LPGA in 2011 after graduating from UCLA in 2009 with a degree in communications. Joh won twice on the Futures Tour and her best finish in a LPGA event is a runner-up at the 2011 Navistar LPGA Classic, won by Lexi Thompson.
