You know who’s an invaluable source of travel and lifestyle advice? You are. Paid experts and bloggers can crow all day about the best places to stay and play and the most reliable airlines to fly, but your experiences, impressions and insights matter every bit as much. Over six weeks on Golf.com and through our social-media channels, we asked traveling golfers to rate their favorite destinations, resorts, hotels, airlines, resort caddies, you name it. We inquired not only about where you’ve been but also about where you want to go next (you’ve been warned, Scotland). Nearly 6,000 of you responded, rating 24 categories in the golf-travel space. ABOUT THIS SURVEY

The survey was completed by readers of GOLF.com, SI GOLF+ and SI GOLF+ Digital from Dec. 18, 2014 to Feb. 6, 2015 and administered by Marketing & Research Resources, Inc., based in Frederick, Md. Participants were asked to rate only destinations and resorts that they had visited in the last three years. For a domestic destination or resort to qualify for our rankings, it needed to receive a minimum of 100 ratings; for international destinations and resorts, we required a minimum of 30 ratings. Number of completed surveys: 5,649. Margin of error: +/- 1.30 percentage points.
