Austin, Texas, is growing as an arts and culture center in the United States and becoming a hub for young people.
It’s also home to “Gentle” Ben Crenshaw’s 7,326-square-foot home in the Tarrytown neighborhood. Crenshaw, 64, is asking $5.7 million for the one-and-a-half acre estate covered with trees and beautifully manicured grass — which you’d expect from a golfer — and one fantastic outdoor putting green.
The six-bedroom home certainly offers a stark contrast from the play house Jordan Spieth just bought from pal Hunter Mahan. The home features character like exposed brick and copper ceilings, marble floors and beautiful wood details.
An Austin native, Crenshaw is a two-time Masters winner who played his final round at Augusta in 2015 after 44 tournament appearances there. You can take a tour of the home here.
