Watch Phil Mickelson and Matt Kuchar Shimmy at the Ryder Cup

Were they inspired by Hillary Clinton’s gleeful wiggle at the presidential debate last week? After sinking a long birdie putt on the 13th hole to go 2 up in the match, Matt Kuchar celebrated in a typical fist-pumping, grinning manner. But when he went over to his partner, Phil Mickelson, Kuchar didn’t just shake his hand: he shimmied. They shimmied. Was this a planned-for celebratory gesture? Or the spontaneous result of Ryder Cup fever?

The Ryder Cup brings out dramatic flourishes in everybody, it seems. Yesterday Rory McIlroy ended a match with a grand bow to the stands. Phil Mickelson seemed to answer that bow with a curtsy of his own today.
