Rory McIlroy Using New Custom Nike Golf Balls at the Masters

Having ascended to the top of the World Golf Rankings in 2012, Nike unveiled Rory McIlroy as a new brand ambassador in January 2013. Reportedly worth $20 million annually, the blockbuster endorsement deal placed the young McIlroy among the sport's top-paid players, though many would blame the switch to Nike clubs for his struggles throughout the year.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Is Rory McIlroy excited for Masters week or what?

The 26-year-old McIlroy showed off his Masters-green pants on Wednesday at Augusta National, but that’s just the start of his Masters cheer.

Earlier this week McIlroy posted a picture of his custom Nike golf balls he’ll play this week, in which the customary black lettering in swapped out for Masters green. There’s also “RM5” under the Nike swoosh. The “5” stands for five major titles, which is how many McIlroy would have if he won this week and completed the career grand slam.

You can check out the golf balls below.
