Payne Stewart’s U.S. Open Winning Putt, Now in Lego Form

In honor of U.S. Open week, Payne Stewart’s memorable U.S. Open-clinching putt from 1999 at Pinehurst No. 2 has come back to life in Lego form.

Jared Jacobs, noted Lego animator, posted his toy interpretation of the historic event. Yep, that even includes the dismay of Phil Mickelson, who lost to Stewart on the 18th green.

The last time we saw Jacobs making a golf-themed stop-motion video was during the week of the Players Championship, when he made a video of Tiger Woods’ “Better Than Most” putt.
