There are a lot of fantastic things about this video of Jordan Spieth pulling off an epic trick shot that included him catching a marshmallow in his mouth.
First, he’s back at the Byron Nelson, the site of his first PGA Tour event as a 16-year-old playing on a sponsor’s exemption. He fulfilled his media obligations by chatting with reporters this afternoon, then led a youth golf clinic with local kids.
Next comes the actual shot. He’s hitting a flop shot with a marshmallow sitting on top of a golf ball and attempting to catch the marshmallow in his mouth before it hits the ground. That takes some epic wrist hinge and moderate athleticism, and Spieth displayed both. He takes a cut, drops the wedge, spots the mallow in mid-air, falls down – OK, he is still a golfer – and snags the marshmallow in his mouth. He then jumps up to celebrate and falls down for a second time from pure joy. And the crowd goes wild.
