Who says golf isn’t a contact sport?

A 43-year-old Canadian golfer enjoying a round on the golf course at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., ended a police chase on Friday, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The suspect, 22, had been stopped for an expired registration, but he sped off, crashed into a median and attempted to escape on foot through the golf course.

The golfer saw the suspect in flight and took matters into his own hands, tackling him and holding him tight until the authorities arrived.

That’s worth at least a round at the 19th hole.
