Bill Murray Leads Epic ‘America’ Chant at Ryder Cup

Somewhat lost in the brouhaha of the U.S. team’s dramatic win over Europe in the 2016 Ryder Cup was that actor Bill Murray was at Hazeltine all week, cheering on the Americans and riling up the spectators.

While the boorish fans at the Ryder Cup have received a lot of press, Murray participated in more good-natured fun in the grandstands, including on Sunday. As Rory McIlroy and Patrick Reed were preparing to tee off for their singles match, Murray initiated a simple “America” chant, and after a few seconds the entire crowd joined in, as you can see in the video below.
