SeeMore Corona Del Mar X3 Putter

Category: Large Mallet Putters
34″, 35″ shaft length
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: The venerable alignment system promotes the same setup every time.

DISTANCE CONTROL: If you can hit the middle of the face with the X3 you can lock in the right speed; testers have to give it a good rap on longer putts, but the distance is relatively consistent; adequate performer on mid- and longer-length lags.
FEEL: For many testers, the face insert has just the right amount of pop at impact—it’s soft but solid when you strike the middle; the clubhead stays stable and secure through the entire stroke, with little twisting or wavering.
LOOK: The well-known SeeMore alignment aid— with the red dot, parallel white lines and the dark shaft—provides a ton of confidence at address; the club’s rounded, traditional shape makes for a smooth setup and an overall expensive look.

Some testers don’t like the hand position that’s encouraged by the SeeMore alignment system; a tad dull at impact—a few guys describe it as “waxy”; clubhead isn’t quite as stable as some others in the large mallet category.

BOTTOM LINE: The Corona Del Mar X3’s clean, straightfoward-looking head blends well with all the visual alignment devices. SeeMore’s proven aiming mechanism is well-liked by many testers and can help players who struggle at address.
