SeeMore Corona Del Mar X2 Putter

Category: Blade Putters
Price: $195
34″, 35” shaft lengths
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: The 360-gram stainless steel head has a soft urethane face insert.

DISTANCE CONTROL: Stellar for short and medium-length putts—just line it up, hide the red dot and go; sweet spot seems spread across the face, so all but the worst mis-hits run out to the hole; excellent energy transfer generates an instant roll.
FEEL: Well-balanced during the swing; plastic insert has a soft, forged-like feel and dampens sound at impact; the ball gets rolling quickly and smoothly; soft on off-center hits, but enough feedback to know how you’ve hit it.
LOOK: Brushed-metal head with polished silver face and sole; center shaft attaches directly to the head and helps get your eyes over the ball; SeeMore’s innovative, attention-grabbing alignment system of a red dot and white lines may take getting used to, but it gives you the confidence that you’ll set up true.

For some testers, it can feel more like a training aid than a putter; aiming system causes a few guys to overthink their setup; a couple of others need time to home in on the proper length for longer putts.

BOTTOM LINE: The Corona Del Mar X2 suits almost anyone looking to improve his or her stroke. The traditional SeeMore red dot alignment system is particularly useful when combined with the white sight lines along the topline and flange.
