Puma Golf has a new member in its IGNITE family, the Spikeless Sport ($140). Designed to be functional and fashionable on and off the course, the new IGNITE Spikeless Sport shoes will be worn by PGA Tour rookie Bryson DeChambeau for the remainder of the ’16 season.
“These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn,” DeChambeau said. “The Spikeless Sport provides all the stability, comfort and support that I need on Tour, but they are also very stylish – combining a modern look with classic golf details that fits my style perfectly.”
The shoe’s biggest innovation is the material, a four-way stretch waterproof mesh paired with a leather saddle section for comfort and breathability. The shoes also feature a tongue design that locks the foot in place, while insole foam enhances cushion and energy return while walking. Other features include a leather pull-tab, a U-shaped heel clip for added support, and reflective laces. Thirty-nine hexagonal spikes provide traction during the swing, as do 24 chevron-shaped lugs in the sole. The sole lugs grip smooth surfaces as well as turf, making them comfortable to wear indoors and out.
The new IGNITE Spikeless Sport shoes come in three different color combinations and are on sale now.
