Jordan Spieth’s Masters victory Sunday at Augusta National came on the strength of an all-around impressive performance, but the 21-year-old put up particularly good numbers with his Scotty Cameron putter and Titleist irons.
Since 2000, only three Masters winners have finished outside the top five in greens in regulation percentage on the way to victory. True to tradition, Spieth finished T2 alongside Justin Rose in GIR percentage, hitting 54 of 72 greens for 75 percent. The only player to hit more greens in regulation than Spieth was Ian Poulter, who hit 59 and finished T6.
In recent weeks, Spieth has seemingly made every clutch putt he’s needed to. He put on a beautiful display with the flat stick at Augusta National, finishing third in putts per hole (1.5) among players who made the cut. Only Dustin Johnson and Steve Stricker (both with 1.47) putted better.
Here’s a look at Spieth’s putter, a Scotty Cameron 009 prototype that he’s used since he played junior golf.
Spieth also plays Titleist 714 AP2 irons.
