Category: Better-Player Hybrids
We tested: H2 (18°), H4 (22°), H5 (25°) and H6 (30°) with Bobby Jones graphite shaft
Key Technologies: The three-piece triangular head consists of a stainless steel body, carpenter steel face and light steel crown, which shift the club's CG lower and deeper. The contoured sole provides versatility from various lies.
OUR TESTERS SAY: One of the highest-rated hybrids in its class; all-around performer is extremely versatile and easy to hit.
PLAYABILITY: Consistent, high ball flight and outstanding production from assorted lies, including rough.
ACCURACY/FORGIVENESS: Does a nice job of retaining distance on off-center hits; directional misses are covered up well regardless of where on the face impact is made.
DISTANCE: Very solid output; high ball flight leads to plenty of carry.
FEEL: Clubhead location can be sensed throughout the swing; impact is soft and pleasing; a few describe the impact sensation as "beautiful."
LOOK: Unusual head shape is easy to align; the design gives several testers a confident feeling over the ball; good contrast between black head and silver face.
The clubhead is a bit smaller than some prefer; the stock grip isn't a favorite.
