Tom Fazio’s latest course design — The Cliffs at Keowee Springs, near Greenville, S.C. — debuts this summer as the newest addition to the family of residential courses created by Cliffs Communities. Not far behind is the Golf Magazine Dream House, a luxury retreat that promises to be a welcome respite for even the most course-humbled golfer.
With views of three holes on the Cliffs course, the 8,200-square-foot Dream House includes multiple open and covered porches, a cigar lounge, a lower level with a billiards table and a bar, and a golf simulator. In other words, enough bells and whistles to keep you and your guests happily occupied between rounds.
Residents at Keowee Springs have access to all of the Cliffs courses, which include designs by Fazio, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. Tiger Woods is also getting in on the Cliffs Communities act with The Cliffs at High Carolina, his first course design in the United States.
Allora, LLC, a Greenville-based luxury-home builder, began construction of the Dream House last fall, and the project is scheduled for completion in September. Visitors will then be able to tour the home for an open-house period of one year.
