Kapur, Colsaerts in lead at Dutch Open

HILVERSUM, Netherlands (AP) — Shiv Kapur of India shot a 2-under 68 to reach 8 under Friday and joined Nicolas Colsaerts of Belgium in the lead after the second round of the Dutch Open.

Colsaerts led by two shots after his first-round 62, but finished with a 70 in the rainy second round.

“It is never easy to go and play again on a course you felt you owned the previous day. It was playing more difficult,” Colsaerts said. “We had a couple of rain showers and there was a breeze. Today it was like playing a different golf course.”

Three players were another shot back. Todd Hamilton of the United States had a 67. Hamilton lost his U.S. Tour card and is making a late attempt to earn one in Europe.

The 44-year-old Hamilton won the 2004 British Open at Royal Troon.

“There have not been too many back-to-back good rounds for me in the last two or three years,” said Hamilton, who opened with a 66 on Thursday.

Christian Nilsson of Sweden shot a 65 and Jean Francois Lucquin of France finished at 67.

Martin Kaymer of Germany, one of three European Ryder Cup players in the field, shot a second straight 67 to trail by 2 shots.
