DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Australia’s Nikki Garrett remained in the lead at 6 under when play was rained out Saturday at the LPGA Tour qualifying tournament.
Play was halted in the middle of the third round Friday, and heavy overnight rains made the course unplayable. Tour officials said they hope to resume the tournament Sunday.
Garrett has completed only three holes in her third round. She leads Nikki Chin by a shot, with Katie Kempter, Leah Wigger and Marianne Skarpnord another stroke back.
The top 20 finishers after five rounds at LPGA International will earn Priority List Category 11 playing privileges. Players finishing 21st through 30th will earn Category 16, and Nos. 31-40 will receive Category 20.
