Sergio Garcia caught a tough break with one of his shots at the CIMB Classic on Thursday -- perhaps the unluckiest of the young 2016-17 season.

The shot not only landed on the cart path, it rolled back and forth down the path in a manner similar to that of a ball caught in a pinball machine, losing a ton of yardage and dancing with the hazard along the way. Garcia managed to recover from the gaffe, ending his first round in Malaysia T6 with a 67.

Defending champion Justin Thomas, Derek Fathauer and Keegan Bradley lead the tournament after the first round. Each shot an 8-under 64.
