After a bogey on 12 and two straight pars Billy Hurley III was leading the Quicken Loans National by just a stoke. Then, in a clutch moment of superb short-game play, Hurley chipped in on the 15th hole to go two up with just three holes to play.

He subsequently rolled in a near 30-foot putt on 16 to make birdie, take a three-shot lead and potential seal his win at Congressional.

Hurley has been leading a field of resurgent veterans -- Ernie Els and Vijay Sing -- as well as up-and-coming players like John Rahm who was playing in his first professional tournament.

Watch Hurley's magnificent shot below.
