'Oh Captain, my Captain:' U.S. Ryder Cup team fulfills Watson's ice bucket wishes

It appears members of the U.S. Ryder Cup team will do just about anything for their captain, including dumping buckets of ice cold water on their heads.

Just two days after being issued a challenge by captain Tom Watson, seven of the nine clinched U.S. team members accepted the ALS ice bucket challenge in style. Rickie Fowler, Jim Furyk, Jordan Spieth, Patrick Reed, Zach Johnson, Bubba Watson and Jimmy Walker even fired what could be warning shots to their September opponents by calling out the entire Europe Ryder Cup team to do the same.

Missing from the action were Phil Mickelson and Matt Kuchar, who were also called out to complete the challenge on their own time.

Rickie Fowler also vowed that in addition to taking the polar plunge, each U.S. team member would donate to the ALS Association as well.
