UPDATE: All is well with the world!
See, Rory McIlroy is just like any other average Joe schlepping his clubs overseas for a golf trip.
McIlroy left Pinehurst after a 23rd-place finish on a difficult Pinehurst No. 2 course where he only broke par once. After connecting through Newark, he landed in Dublin for this week's Irish Open -- only his golf clubs didn't make the trip with him. McIlroy sent the official United Airlines Twitter account a message, received a quick reply and eventually got good news about his clubs whereabouts. His clubs will be delivered to the Fota Island Resort in Cork, Ireland on Wednesday, just in time for the tournament.
Don't expect the same service when United inevitably loses your clubs in the future.
