Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy accept the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Tiger Woods and fellow Nike golfer Rory McIlory accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Tuesday morning, dousing each other in freezing water in a video featured on Woods' website.

Shortly after, Woods and McIlroy both took to Twitter to join in the growing social media phenomenon (which raises awareness and money to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) by calling out a star-studded batch of new nominees: Nike co-founder Phil Knight, Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal, former U.S. President George W. Bush, actress Meghan Markle and Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney.

It’s too bad McIlroy didn’t use the Claret Jug or Wanamaker Trophy to do the honors.
