If you didn't know Thomas Pieters before the Ryder Cup, you likely do now, and chances are you know him as the new Belgian bomber.

Pieters added to that lore Thursday on the European Tour at the Dunhill Links Championship at Carnoustie, driving the green at the 407-yard par-4 7th hole, which slopes downhill with a tight fairway.

Pieters' drive split the short grass and bounded toward the green, where the group in front of him was still playing. On the green in one, Pieters would go on to make an easy birdie.
