Steve Elkington is at it again.

On Friday afternoon, the Australian Champions Tour pro tweeted a disparaging remark about Bruce Jenner, the celebrated Olympic gold medalist turned reality television star who is widely believed to be undergoing a transition from male to female.

Jenner sat down with Diane Sawyer in February for a much-anticipated interview set to air on an ABC special on Friday night, and prompted by one of his followers to address the interview, Elkington responded: "He was on the wheaties box, now on fruitloop box."

This is familiar territory for Elkington, whose social media history is riddled with comments ranging from the insensitive to the racist to the homophobic.

Last February, Elkington offered his take on ESPN's coverage of Michael Sam, the free agent defensive end who was attempting to become the first openly gay player to compete in the NFL: "ESPN reporting Michael Sam is leading the handbag throw at NFL combine...No one else expected to throw today."

In 2013, Elkington took to Twitter to make racist comments about Pakistanis during the Senior British Open at Royal Birkdale and joke about a fatal helicopter crash in Scotland.
