Someone Is Punking Webb Simpson At The U.S. Open

A Tour of Chambers Bay With Robert Trent Jones II
Course architect Robert Trent Jones II shows Sports Illustrated's Alan Shipnuck around Chambers Bay, site of the 2015 U.S. Open.

The U.S. Open is the most demanding and grueling test in golf. There's no place for the kind of antics someone in the player's locker room is using on Webb Simpson.

In an attempt to get in the head of the 2012 U.S. Open champion, someone has been replacing the nameplate on the locker of Simpson with random puns throughout the week at Chambers Bay.

Today it was "Webbron James" in honor of the NBA's LeBron James. What will it be tomorrow? Drop your best ideas in the comments below.

UPDATE: It's still happening!
