Sergio Clashes With Fans on Twitter After Skipping Euro Tour Finale

The GOLF Interview: Sergio Garcia at the Turn
The engimatic Sergio Garcia says he has regrets, but he makes no apologies for his outspokenness. Reflecting on Rory McIlroy's injury, the soccer superfan says golfers must be able to live their lives.

Sergio Garcia isn't playing this week's DP World Tour Championship, and some fans are letting him hear about it on social media.

Garcia, as he's known to do, is firing back.

Garcia was 27th in the Race to Dubai standings but opted to skip the European Tour's season finale for the second time in three years. He also missed the first two events of the PGA Tour's season-ending FedEx Cup playoff series and failed to qualify for the Tour Championship at East Lake.

The Guardian reported last week that Garcia's camp "offered no explanation for their client’s latest decision" for skipping this week's tournament.

The criticism has apparently irked Garcia, so he's telling his detractors to "chill."
