On Saturday at the BMW Championship, Sergio Garcia slammed his putter into the ground so hard that it bent in half.
Garcia was upset on the 5th hole when he failed to get up-and-down for birdie, and he threw his putter against his bag as he walked off the green. When he missed a 15-footer for birdie on the 12th, Garcia had seen enough of his putter. He slammed it into the ground and bent the shaft towards the putter head, rendering it useless for the rest of the round. He was five under at the time and promptly bogeyed the next hole putting with a wedge.
After a birdie on the 15th, he's back to five under and T21. Watch the incident with the putter below and his birdie three holes later.
