Ryan Moore began his 2015 Deutsche Bank Championship with a ho-hum par, two-putting from 29 feet. His next hole was not so typical.

The par-5 2nd hole played 554 yards at TPC Boston during the first round, and it looked good for Moore at the start, sitting in the fairway, 239 yards from the hole. After pulling his lay-up shot left of the fairway, it quickly went downhill from there.

After taking a drop, he missed the green to the right with his fourth shot, to the rocky border between the green and a water hazard. Moore then hit beyond the hole, into the water hazard.

He was forced to retreat 80 yards to the fairway to drop from the hazard and approach the green. Coming up short of the green with his seventh stroke, Moore then chipped on and 2-putted for his 10.

He followed that with another bogey before nearly driving the green on the par-4 fourth and canning his next shot for eagle, a tiny silver lining during his 7-over 78.
