The wait is over: Rory McIlroy is officially at Whistling Straits, site of next week's PGA Championship.
McIlroy teased a return to competitive golf to his fans all week, posting photos and videos of him swinging a driver, working out, and eventually on a plane from Portugal. The 26-year-old teed off in a practice round at Whistling Straits on Saturday morning, ending the speculation that an ankle injury suffered one month ago would keep him on the sidelines for the season's final major.
The good news? He appears to be healthy and has been seen running up and down the steep banks of the course's teeboxes.
McIlroy is scheduled to tee off Thursday afternoon alongside Jordan Spieth and Zach Johnson at 2:20 p.m. ET.
