Rory McIlroy: 'Golf Without Tiger Doesn't Bear Thinking About'

Tiger Woods, With No Return Plans, Says Anything More 'Would Be Gravy'
Speaking ahead of the Hero World Challenge, Tiger Woods said that he has no timeline for return to pro golf, and that anything beyond this 'will be gravy.'

Golf's biggest stars aren't oblivious to what Tiger Woods means to the game.

During his press conference at the Hero World Challenge on Tuesday, Woods said he doesn't have a timetable for his return to competitive golf, adding that he'd be content if he didn't win again on the PGA Tour.

It was a shocking statement for the golf world to hear from the normally optimistic 14-time major winner. Rory McIlroy must have thought so, too. McIlroy posted a photo with Woods on Instagram with the text: "Wishing my idol and friend a speedy recovery. Golf without him doesn't bear thinking about. Hope to see you back on the course soon @tigerwoods."

Rory McIlroy Already One of the Richest Golfers Ever
