To American fans' horror, Rory McIlroy's game has been coming around in a big way lately, as we saw last week when he stole the Tour Championshp and FedEx Cup titles out from under Dustin Johnson.

Well, it appears McIlroy's stellar play has carried over to Hazeltine.

While playing his final practice round Thursday, the four-time major winner took a wedge from 100 yards on the 6th hole and holed the shot about as perfectly as possible. Rory's ball landed right on the edge of the cup, leaving a big ball mark and knocking the divot into the hole along with his ball. You can see photos of the bizarre hole-out below.
