PGA Championship 2014 Complete Friday TV Coverage: Start times for second round

Television coverage for the 2014 PGA Championship at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky will be handled exclusively by TNT Sports and CBS Sports.

Favorite Rory McIlroy tees off at 8:35 a.m, while defending champion Jason Dufner withdrew from the tournament because of a neck injury. Tiger Woods' group, which features Padraig Harrington and Phil Mickelson, is set to tee off at 1:45 p.m. ET. The early projected cut line is even par.

For this weekend, CBS Sports will handle the television duties and can only hope people tune in Weekend Ratings for the past few majors (Masters, no Tiger and Phil; U.S. Open, no Tiger plus Martin Kaymer blowout; British Open, again, no Tiger and Phil in contention) have been on the dismal side, and that's putting it mildly.

Here are the coverage times for the second round of the tournament. (All times Eastern):

Day 2 Preview:

Since there will be no repeat winner at this year's PGA Tournament, there will be a chance for a relative unknown to break through and turn some heads.

Through the first round, Lee Westwood, Kevin Chappell and Ryan Palmer are tied at -6. Palmer has only won three times on the PGA Tour in his career, and doesn't have a victory since 2010. The 28-year-old Chappell has missed six cuts in the 14 previous events he has entered this year.

This afternoon, all eyes will be on Tiger Woods, Padraig Harrington and Phil Mickelson, as they they will playing catch up in efforts to make it to the weekend. Woods, who hasn't won a major in six years, insists his back is sturdy enough to make it through, despite leaving in heap last week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
