Wednesday’s matchup between the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox, and the ensuing broadcast, felt more like a golf tournament than a baseball game.

Spectators were not allowed inside Camden Yards because of safety concerns over the ongoing riots and protests in Baltimore in the wake of Freddie Gray’s death. The stands were completely empty, providing an eerily silent setting.

In an attempt to lighten the mood, Orioles announcer Gary Thorne did his best Jim Nantz at the Masters impression after Baltimore’s Adam Jones hit a double off the centerfield wall in the seventh inning. Check out the video below:
