After the entirely too long 17-day off-season, the opening day of the 2016-17 PGA Tour season didn’t disappoint.

Eagles, an albatross and a course record, oh my! That’s right, Thursday in Napa we saw 12 eagles – none more impressive than an ace from Tour rookie Jon Rahm, an albatross from Morgan Hoffmann and a course-record setting 10-under 62 from Scott Piercy, a 62 that included 12 birdies.  Not bad for a bunch of guys shaking off the rust!

If this is a sign of things to come this season, we have a lot to look forward to.
