Tom Watson has played in countless pro-ams over his 44-year professional career, but Wednesday was his first opportunity to play golf with Alabama football coach Nick Saban.

The two sports legends played together in the Regions Tradition Pro-Am event at Shoal Creek Club in Shoal Creek, Alabama. From a few reports of the event, Watson was impressed with Saban, one of the most popular men in the state, once the head coach began with a natural birdie and par on the first two holes.

They were a popular pair, and according to Al.com, their pro-am group was the only one with multiple police following along as an escort. Here’s a video of Saban warming up on the driving range.
