Niall Horan Caddied for Rory McIlroy at the Masters and One Direction Fans Went Nuts

Masters 2015: Why Rory McIlroy Picked Niall Horan to Caddie
Rory McIlroy caused a stir when he selected buddy Niall Horan of One Direction to carry his clubs during the Par-3 contest at Augusta National. During Golf.com's Masters preview show on Wednesday, the panel examined the unusual pick.

Rory McIlroy invited teen heartthrob Niall Horan to be his caddie at the Masters par 3 contest and no one enjoyed his appearance more than the unhinged masses of his followers on Twitter.

Horan, one of four members of the British boy band One Direction, even got a chance to tee off on the last hole. It didn't go so well. He helped Rory McIlroy to a tie for 16th in the Par-3 contest at 1-under par. Kevin Streelman and Camilo Villegas tied for first at 5-under. Streelman won in a playoff. If he happens to win the Masters, he would be the first-ever player to win after also winning the Par-3 tournament.

Now, about those Niall Horan fans...

Still, he was popular with the patrons and earned rave reviews from the social media hoards.
