The world survived the end of the Mayan Calendar in December 2012, but just in case a cataclysmic zombie epidemic ravages Earth, Michelle Wie might be the leader to look to.

She made it seem so in an interview last week at the HSBC Women’s Championship in Singapore.

“It still can happen,” Wie said. “I think it’s very important to tune up your zombie survival skills, because you never know. You just never know…you just have to be ready.”

Wie did not go into detail about the specifics of those skills, but when the interviewer reminded her there has never been a zombie epidemic, the 2014 U.S. Women's Open champion remained adamant: “But that doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen.”

The rest of the interview details her love for art and her television acting debut last month on Hawaii Five-O.
