Lately, a lot of the LPGA talk has been focused on Lydia Ko, but Lexi Thompson wants us to know she's still here — and that she can back it up, too.
The 20-year-old phenom aced the 153-yard par-3 14th hole at the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore, finishing the first round T9 at three under par. She and her group, which included fellow powerhouses Ko and Michelle Wie, were all smiles after the shot. See the ace below:
Thompson, the child prodigy who turned pro in 2010, has six professional wins, including one major (the 2014 ANA Inspiration). She sits 11th in the LPGA's Rolex rankings.
It isn't the first shot that's made this event a favorite for a few LPGA ladies; defending champion Paula Creamer drained a 75-foot eagle playoff putt to win in 2014.
