Shanks are the worst thing imaginable for a golfer, much less on the 72nd hole of a big tournament.

Justin Rose hit a cold shank on his second shot at the 18th in the Memorial Tournament, and it drilled a spectator right in the head.

The fan was OK, and Rose was too. The Englishman still managed to get up and down to force a playoff with David Lingmerth, but eventually lost on the third playoff hole.
