Justin Rose was in the mix after 54 holes of the Deutsche Bank Championship, and he was still in contention with just nine holes to play.
But then came the back nine.
Rose was nine under after the third round and made the turn at 11 under on Monday, but disaster struck on the back side. The Olympic gold medalist was 10 over in a six-hole span, which included a double bogey and two triple bogeys. He shot a 10-over 45 and signed for an eight-over 79. Luckily he'll already be at Crooked Stick next week and can put his recent back nine behind him.
