Whenever Jordan Spieth is back in his home state of Texas, he is living large.

The latest example came Saturday during the University of Texas football team’s home opener against Rice.

Spieth, who criticized the team's offense and his own game last week, wore his Masters green jacket on the field at halftime when he was honored along with other students who were a part of Big 12 championships last season. The UT band even spelled his last name on the field during its halftime performance.

Also on Saturday, Spieth joined the Longhorn Network for its Texas GameDay broadcast and even hung out with fellow Texan Ben Crenshaw.

We will see Spieth on the course at this week’s BMW Championship at Conway Farms in Lake Forest, Illinois, for the third leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Great game night!! Loved seeing @jordanspieth tonight!! #classacts #utlegends #hookem
