Jordan Spieth Drinks From Claret Jug on Flight From Open

'Spieth Slam' Dreams Disintegrate at British Open
Jordan Spieth had a chance to enter a three-man playoff at St. Andrews on Monday, but missed a birdie putt and the playoff by one shot.

Jordan Spieth may have come up one shot short at the 144th Open Championship, but he still got to drink from the claret jug.

Damon Green, who caddied for Open Champion Zach Johnson at St. Andrews last week, posted a photo of the 21-year-old two-time major champion taking a healthy swig from the famous trophy on the plane ride home.

Spieth finished a shot out of the three-man playoff in which Johnson bested South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen and Australia's Marc Leishman to claim his second major title.

His Grand Slam quest might be over, but Spieth is still the heavy favorite to win the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
