The final round of the 2016 PGA Championship got off to a slow and soggy start.
The leader entering the final round was Jimmy Walker, and he opened with nine straight pars. Henrik Stenson and Jason Day gave chase, but they couldn't string together birdies to take the outright lead in the early going. Then Walker struck.
Walker, who was at 11 under for the tournament at the time with Day and Stenson both at 10 under, short-sided himself in a greenside trap on the 10th hole. Walker casually holed the bunker shot for his first birdie of the day to give him a two-shot advantage. Day quickly followed that up with a birdie on the 9th to keep the margin at one stroke, but that's as close as he'd come to catching Jimmy Walker.
