Jason Dufner Gets Wet to Avoid Penalty at Trump Doral

Sometimes, you have to get creative with your short game, as Jason Dufner found out during the first round of the WGC-Cadillac at Trump National Doral.

Occasionally, duty calls to remove footwear on the golf course.

That's exactly what happened to Jason Dufner during the first round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral on Thursday. Dufner flared his approach into the par-5 8th green wide left, leaving the ball oscillating in the few inches of wavy water near the shore.

Instead of taking a penalty from the hazard, Dufner dropped his shoes, socks and visor and rolled up his sea-foam trousers to keep his clothes clean. Then, he took a big cut and flopped his Titleiest onto the green, two-putting for par.
