Jason Day Withdraws from Farmers Pro-Am with Flu-Like Symptoms
Jason Day may not be up to defending his title at the Farmers Insurance Open this week. Day withdrew from the pro-am on Wednesday with flu-like symptoms, sending a text message that said he was "sick as a dog," according to the Golf Channel.
Day's tee time for Thursday is 9:20 a.m. on Torrey Pines North course. It is not clear yet whether he will be recovered in time to play by the morning. Day is ranked number 2 in the world and hasn't played since the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.
