Jason Day is currently coasting on the highs of back-to-back PGA Tour victories, triumphs that propelled him back to the top of the World Golf Ranking.
But Day's recent successes almost never happened.
In an interview with Golf Channel's David Feherty, Day revealed that he nearly quit golf right before his first appearance at the Masters in 2011.
"I really wanted to quit the game," Day said. "I wasn't having a good time on the golf course."
Day said that his "team" persuaded him to play in the tournament, and he wound up having a "fantastic" time, tying for second, still his best finish at Augusta.
