Arnold Palmer celebrated his 86th birthday Thursday, and golfers all around the world sent him well wishes.
The King’s birthday always falls during the FedEx Cup playoffs, but players all over the Tour and the world took a few minutes out of their day to send thanks to Palmer via Twitter.
The charge was led by one of Palmer’s greatest friends and rivals, 18-time major champion Jack Nicklaus. The two competed for majors throughout the 1960s, winning a combined 13 major championships during the decade, including six green jackets (five of them consecutive) from the Masters.
