Ian Poutler is nowhere near qualifying for the European Ryder Cup team, but he's confident where he'll be come September.

"I will make the team," Poulter said in a short interview with Brian Wacker of PGATour.com. "That's all I'm going to say. I'll make it my duty to play well enough to make the team. We're not at the stage of picks. I'm adamant to say that I will make this team."

Coulter currently sits 25 spots out of the automatic qualifying position for Team Europe. Though making the team will require some quality golf throughout his summer, Poulter has plenty of time, and he's not alone.

Fellow past Ryder Cuppers Sergio Garcia and Graeme McDowell also sit outside the automatic qualifying positions at the moment.

Poulter's interview continued with questions about his lack of a victory since 2012 and his five Ferraris.
