Golfers in California were interrupted when a car that was being pursued by police hopped a fence and drove straight through the course and into a water hazard.

According to CBS Los Angeles, two of the golfers who witnessed the car's flight across the 15th fairway and green at the David L. Baker Memorial Golf Course in Fountain Valley were retired police officers.

Both immediately put down their clubs and ran after the car. When the suspect got out of the Jeep Cherokee, which was flooding with water, the retired officers tackled him and held him until police arrived.

The driver was apparently fleeing police in a stolen car. According to the Orange County Register, he was also carrying "a significant amount of narcotics."
